I am so sick and unhealthy. I just finished drinking my 3rd can of coke this morning without eating anything. I really want to get rid of my soft drinks addiction but I can't , My attempt last year to end it failed miserably. I managed to stop drinking fizz for around 4 months I think , but then when I went back to oman I got back to it again , cause I couldnt find anything better to drink while I'm watching a movie in the cinema , I thought one cup of coke should be harmless , but when I took that first sip of the icey cold drink , I just flew to heaven and I couldnt stop myself from drinking more and more coke since then!!!
And To make it worse , jordan finally started selling mountain dew ( yeah can you believe they never really had it b4 2004? ) and I just LOVE mountain dew (typical omani ) so that ruined things for me even more.
So far I had 3 cans , and since I'm going to the movies today , I'll most likely drink a large one there , then another with lunch , and another one with dinner , so thats at least 3 more.. which basically means by the end of the day I'd have drank no less than 7 cans of coke.
I really have to stop this ...
I personally blame the Hot weather , who can resist a cool can of any softdrink on a hot sunny day. ( who am I kidding?)

hey hibs : I really doubt coke makes you gain weight , I've been drinking it for years and I am still skinny.

Nabhan i was exactly like u b4 2 years and even worse ..my sister now drinks 5 or 6 cane of pepsi everyday ....i stoped drinking soft drinks cos i fall in love with a wounderful juice ( kiwi and lime by al rabie) try it and u will love it 4 sure ..its my favorite drink now :)
I am not a fan of kiwi's. :os , My fave non fizz drink has to be orange juice. but i'll still give it a try , anything with lime should be nice. :p

I used 2 drink a dozen cans of coke a day before... but I think the one I couldn't be able to stop drinking was mirinda!! I think I finished a whole box... I didn't continue though cuz then I felt sick with all the amount of sugar.
Now I only drink light or diet ones... they're healthier :p
about the weight... mine stayed pretty much the same... but I did hear that one can of coke is equivelant 2 eating a whole meal :S

it's ok amo...compared to the milk, camel meat's alright... tastes like... like camel! besides it's actually good for u since its fat is umm... not like other meat. Tried it only once though... still like cow meat better
err.. I don't think I wanna know about the taste of camel meat , I'm sure i wont like it.. but thanks for sharing that disgusting experience with us. LOL

I love Mountain Dew as well ! Omaniya min ilkhateeer ..! And they do have it in Australia , but I can find it in one store only...hahaha , but I know where to get it when the cravings become overwhelming.

wicked : yeah i'm still in jordan. of course the heat here isnt even half as close to oman's heat , but I havent spent a summer in oman since 2003 , so the jordanian heat is all I know , and well compared to the amazingly freezing weather here during the winter , it is pretty hot.

that's a good choice beauty :)... Nabs try somethin called appolinaris :p... it's a good brand of sparkling water :p... or even better would be the ones that have lemon in them already... they tend to be a little bitter though...

I've quit drinking fizzy drinks for over 4 months now and im going for even more smoothly, its so easy...
Well i used to be a total pepsi addict, atleast like 7 a day...
I quit when my mom told me she'll give me 1000 omani rials if i quit for one year, and yes thats awesome indeed, I'll be losing weight by quiting fizzy drinks as well as gaining money!
