New Illustrations Jan - March 2012

Been a while since I last updated and since then I've been keeping at it with my conceptual illustrations. I made some pieces that I'm very happy with on the illustrative front and some others that I feel the ideas are strong enough to compensate for the minimal design style. Over-all I'm quite happy with my progress and I leave you with the illustrations I came up with so far this year.

As you can see in some of these I explored with a very minimal color pallet mainly consisting of black on a colored background and sometimes with hints of additional color and this gives them a more graphic look as opposed to being purely illustrative, I quite like these and i'll keep on exploring this as long as the idea is suitable for it:

Happy New Year : 2012

Illustration Title : New Year

2011 has definitely been a year of ups and downs but for the most part is has been good to me, I got married, I have a baby on the way (due in June 2012), I developed a new 'conceptual' illustrative style that has become immensely popular and pushed me further to the land of known illustrators in the world, so that's one step closer to achieving my dreams and goals as a digital graphic artist. So yeah, it's been really good year over-all and I hope 2012 is going to be even better and more exciting especially on the artistic front as I plan to continue exploring the conceptual side of illustration with a big focus on the Idea as opposed to just presenting something 'fun', 'cute' or 'beautiful' to look at.

Winter Is Here

I came up with some winter themed illustrations and I'm very pleased with the way they turned out. The first one 'Snow Flakes' is a play on the concept of eating cereal or "Corn Flakes", a friend helped me out with this concept and I just gave it my own personal twist. The second one titled 'Cold Peak' is just my way of creating a world that's based on an 'ice cream' and I suppose this is one of my favorite illustrations of the year. I hope you enjoy them.

Misc Illustrations November-December

Here are some random illustrations I've worked on during the past month, some are humorous, some tackle social issues and some are inspired by favorite things/games (The Super Mario One) or special events going on in my life (Family Portrait) all in all, it's just me rationalizing any concept that pops in my head and adding my own personal twist to it. Juice

I worked on a series of illustrations titled 'Juice' which basically plays on the concept of 'where juice comes from' and so I chose three fruits that best represent this idea. Some called if vulgar, some called it funny, some called it genius, well I guess It's subjective and depends on the way you see it, I personally enjoyed illustrating them very much especially the usage of halftones.
