Within my memory , artwork .......

I had the weirdest dream a few days back , which I barely remember now. I just remember waking up and getting this glimpse of the woman i saw in my dream which basically happens to be a version of my late grandmother ( may she rest in peace ) , but in a weird way she wasnt that old , and she had stronger features than I remember her having.

Anyways , I decided to attempt and draw the face I saw as I remembered it , and this is bascially what came out of it.

-------

Step1 : The Original hand drawn black and white image :

step1

Step2 : After coloring it and adding some brush work using adobe photoshop :

step2

As you can see here , I kinda gave the face and other parts some shades and light , but then stopped in the middle cause I decided against it and removed the whole thing.

Step3 : I went for a flat look , and used some 'old photo brush effects' as well as some torn paper effect on the bottom to give the image a 'faded' look , since the memory of the dream will obviously not stick with me for long and was already starting to fade away.

final step

I actually like it better in black and white. The person in question seems more classy that way, somehow. I think the colour, maybe the pinkiness, adds that 'chubby' feel. I dunno.

I've been trying to do that too. I think he made an image out of it then put it in his template.

My problem is; everytime I try doing it the comments and other links get out of line.

W : The signature is basicaly an img. I typed that in photoshop , uploaded it and then replaced the codes/text : "posted by <$BlogItemAuthorNickname$>" which can be found in the blog template , with the Image I created. that's all really. :p
