The week talks about Omani bloggers...
.. and to my dissapointment , not one single person from the 'EnglishSabla.com' was mentioned in it. we never seem to get any publicity *sobs*.
Anyways , to make everyone's life easier , I made a copy of the article . just click the button below and it will take you to it.

Don't my almost 2000 posts on English Sabla count?
lol..of course they do..but they didnt mention us at all :( ..even though many omani bloggers are originally from the sabla. :p
Nabhan, I clicked on 'comment' wanting to mention muscati being a part of ES, but he brought it up himself!
Anyways, with no intent to sound rude, what your blog consists of, matters when one reccomends a good read to another. Reading tons of blog posts titled "oh, my puppy pooped", "I've got a zit on my nose" etc aren't good enough to make it to newspaper articles. Of course my blog would also fall under that meaningless category, but yes, a few ES-members' blogs should have made it.
Hey, I wasn't talking about your blog particularly, but about a lot of ES blogs that I read around ... :)
Actually sree..that crossed my mind as well and looking at it again..I can see that they have picked only the more 'serious' blogs to mention.
HEAR THAT SABLA PEOPLE..start getting serious. lol
, nah..I actually enjoy the non-serious ones. ;)
I could not read a word, I think I need to get a copy..
Too bad they didn't mention any ES bloggers..
but somehow I am glad my blog was not there lol :p
I agree with NaBHan, there should have been a mention of Sabla Bloggers.
I even made a mention at my blog:
QUOTE:
Kamakazi is also the Assistant Administrator of http://www.englishsabla.com/, a popular discussion forum. I mention this because you can, more or less, trace back most Omani bloggers who have active and friendly blogs to English Sabla members, with Omanforum members way back in second place. Other than these bloggers, you’d be hard pressed to find active groups of Omani friends or family members with blogs, though more must exist.
END QUOTE
Anyhow, I got Neo to add a link to Muscati's blog and mine at chulupu, since it was the only blog address mentioned. Between us, most active Omani bloggers are mentioned.
Anyhow, I guess the Omani blog community will continue remaining secretive and closed to a few....
Non-serious blogs are enjoyable, but no one wants personal issues mentioned in the national newspaper.
I was told I would die if I got more serious than how I am :p
Arabian Princess you're perfect are you are.
Bilqis, specifically what are you refering to?
Congrats on the article even though i have opinions that reflect what Sree mentioned in his comment.
Calk, they don't originate from the Sabla, but mostly are regular members @ Sabla. Very different! ;) Anyways, enough nonsense from me, lol.
agreed sree ... :)
and enough from me as well....
lol..no worries..you can talk all you want here. its not a forum. :P

namika : when the image loads , if you leave your mouse pointer on it a button appears on the bottom right corner to ENLARGE it. :p
------
B4O: I can't believe the reporter doesnt know about the sabla. that's really sad.
------
Balqis : are u teasing or do u really hate b4o? lol
Muscati & Wife's blog is getting pretty famous. A friend who goes to Mazoon college told me one of her American professors mentioned it to his class!
Nabs thanks for pointing that out :p I already read it though.. I was expecting to read about ES..
Guys, it doesnt matter. We are already famous!! :D
NaBHaN, I too was shocked she didn't know about Sabla.
I think Sabla has a lot to offer in terms of variety. I'll ask someone from TheWeek to write to you Kaza..
I'd personally suggest Sabla members put something together, a sort of draft article for TheWeek ....
