I think i'm going crazy!

I have this huge thing going on with me now and I can't seem to get rid of! I used to be normal once upon a time and saw things normally like every other normal person I know. when I saw a book that interested me , I read the back cover to know what it was about , when I bought a can of Pepsi or any drink I just rushed to open it and drink it , when I saw a music cd that I wanted just bought it and so on.. But recently I started developing this habit of analyzing everything graphically! I see a book and I start looking at the fonts used, the colors, the arrangement of the graphics on it..and if I don't like what I see I just get turned off and forget about it. Same goes to drinks , food and everything else out there. The other day I was buying washing powder from the market, and I think I spent around 15 minutes just looking at which one looked better graphically.

Even when I walk down the street I start analyzing stuff around me graphically and wondering how everything would look if it was done using graphic software. That could be interesting at times, to be able to view the world in a different way than what others see it , and It could be very good for my profession but it can also be very tiring. It's no wonder that I end up getting headaches whenever I go out.

Over all I really think that this is a sad habit cause its starting to effect my judgment on things and instead of going for what does a better job I end up going for what looks better.

Many people are getting attracked by colors. I think you are in higher level :p

I got the same thing. But, mostly with the logos. I like to see logos everywhere, & I will start the way to find out why they created such logo, & what it does have to do with their work!

I believe such thing is with since long time. But, you just found out that you got this, so it will take some time to forget it!

Well I think its a good habit! Obviously it'll help improve your eye for what is good, what works and what doesnt.

Although I can see how it can be energy consuming :p

They say that it's not good to judge a book by it's cover and I've found that it's so true! I also always look at how appealing something is, before I buy it. I've bought some books that had really beatiful covers, but what's inside sucked! Also, it's horrible when it comes to renting movies and you go for a movie cos it has a really eye catching DVD cover, then when you're watching it, 15 mins into the movie all you wanna do it stop it :/ It really sucks.

But then I guess it's only human nature to be attracted to what is 'beautiful':)
