I went back to my original vector painting style for this particular piece because I felt it would convey the sentimentality of it in a much clearer and elegant way as opposed to my other cartoony illustrative style. I felt a little rusty while working on this because it has been a while since I worked on this style but as I progressed my confidence was restored and it just came along nicely I believe. I think that this piece would work nicely as a card or post card..hmm.

Beautiful illustration, and I still think there is something about it that makes it feel watery... which makes it look even better.
