Carrie is the latest singer to win the American Idol title in it's 4th season. I've been listening to this album on and off for the past 2 months and only decided now to write a small review on it cause it's starting to finally grow on me. This is the type of record that u'd go back to when you want a break from the usual stuff that hits the radio , not that this is very different , but well for me this is a sort of unusual album to listen to mainly cause I'm not that into country music but I guess the reason I am okay with this one is cause it's not purely country and actually has some elements of rock/pop in it which is similar to ashlee simpson or even 1st season winner Kelly clarkson's music. There is no doubt that carrie does deserve the title cause she has an amazing and powerful voice , though I personally would have prefered if she didn't really choose country as her main genre.
The album came out the same week as Madonna's confessions , and even though Madonna beat her to the top spot , carrie is by far outselling her and is still in the top ten since its release , but then again thats probably cause America is so hooked up on country music and American Idols.
There are some nice tracks on this one which pop music fans might love , I've included below links to download two of them which happen to be my fave two songs on the record and aren't very country-ish , the rest of the record including the first single 'jesus take the wheel' sounds pretty much like Faith Hills music which isnt a bad thing of course.
Anyways , I'm sure we'll see alot of carrie in the comming years especially on the american charts.

havent heard any of her songs, but i'm a big kelly clarkson fan , her second album was GREAT... easy 8 great songs, which nowadays isnt often, u dont get a whole album thats great.

Wicked : They both have incredible voices but Carrie's style is a bit country-ish , and we all know that kelly clarkson is more into pop/rock..but if you download the two songs i provided in this post you might like them cause those two are more poppy than country.
