I really wanted Madonna's new record to be the first original music cd I buy since 2003 , but when I was in the record store today I noticed an album I've been looking for everywhere and I couldn't help but just grab it and buy it immediately.
I am sure that not many people are familiar with this amazing Italian singer which is quite a shame to say the least. She really has an amazing voice and her music is a bit different from all the other stuff we hear over the radio these days ( btw..I am so sick of mainstream music ).
Anyways , The self titled album that I bought is her first 'international' release and features her most known song 'Rainbow' which is basically the song that made me fall in love with her. She has 2 other 'english' albums titled 'Then comes the sun' and last years 'Pearl Days' which features Glen ballard ( Alanis morrisette , Wilson Phillips , Shakira , Christina Aguilera ) as a producer on some of the tracks. Pearl days is also an excellent album which I still listen to on a weekly basis.
I really hope that one day she does well internationally. It's really dissapointing that such a talented singer like herself has to struggle to get any decent recognition , while lame and talentless singers like 50 cent and sean paul are doing so well.

I am not really into female voices. I dont know, or maybe because in general I prefer music over vocals, just music!
Let me check some of her songs, maybe I might get my hands on the album.
Though lately I am into English albums, where the albums outside are not really attracking me, just in case if I wanted to hear anything, like last week I got Bodyrockers album without planning on getting it. Its all because I got pissed off where the order I made since months is still not been delievered to me.

She's famous in the world, just not like laura Pausini, but for an italian is not that bad.

About elisa , she's not really that famous... I never even heard of her b4 february this year..even though she's been singing in english since 2001.
Am not surprised, you don't listen to arab music, go guess if you listen to italian.
