I really love the features in the new zen microphoto and think that it's so much better than all the ipods out there. I don't think I came accross an ipod that has the built in f.m player/recorder feature (I could be wrong) , and so this is one of the things I loved the most about this new creative mp3 player.
I always thought that people made a huge fuss over the apple ipods and for nothing thats really worth mentioning , true it looks good , but feature wise , I always saw that creative were way ahead in their game , and with every player they put out there they're getting even better and better. If I ever decide to buy a small colorful mp3 player then this will be it.
I currently have the Creative Zen Touch which I am very happy with and has never caused me any problems since I bought it back in february (mashallah).

I don't need the FM or the recorder. I think Creative's main advantage is the removable battery which means when you're traveling you can take two batteries with you for long flights and not worry about running out.
The main disadvantage of Creative's players is the navigation and the industrial design. The reason Apple's iPod became such a huge hit is because 1) It looks so great that even people who don't really care for MP3 players buy them, and 2) They are so easy to use.
By the way, 4000 songs is bullshit. On 8GB you can store about 2000 songs only unless you go for lower quality or use different formats other than Mp3. By the way does this one play Ogg Vorbis?
Is that I am the only one can see the mobile phone taking the place of the juke box?!!
I fell in love with Zen Creative from the first time I saw it. I prefer it more than Mini IPod..
but until now I am not sure what to buy :p
Muscati , Sadly it does not support Ogg format , that would have been great actually.
The 4000 songs is based on the WMA format , not mp3 , it does say that it could hold up to 2000 mp3 @182kbps in the features page.

Nightface : nah.. I think that people still like having something else besides their phones. I personally wouldnt really go for a phone that would replace my mp3 player.. I just somehow like them to be seperate.

lol , Actually I know some people who prefer their audio files to be in WMA format. I personally hate it which is why I never used windows media player to rip my cds.
I think Muscati should be made the brand ambassador for Ipods and Nescafe Gold in Oman. =)
I really like your blog, Plus I go for the iPod Nano *new*, it's much better and smaller, easy to use too.
