Another thing is that I noticed that none of the ones who study with me really 'design for fun' or like to experiment with different programs , styles and so on , all they do is the homework or assignments given to them by the professors and thats it. I ask them how come they don't just design for fun , and they're like , oh I don't have time , I don't feel like it and that what they do for uni is more than enough.
These are not artists and they shouldnt even be in a graphic desgining school , the un educated people who just copy and paste in these low budget publishing shops are probably more 'talented' than they are , and it really makes me angry that some of these talentless people do so so well in uni just cause they end up kissing ass.

Anyways , I will post some of my work for my typography class using the logo I posted previously here in my blog.
This is a 'visit' card which I designed , the professor really loved this one , I think its alright...
I also made a poster , and a brochure but I'm too lazy to upload those , and they're way too big to post anyways.
hope u like em. :)

i loved the designs as well, and when i saw that lady blowing the logo (ur name) i felt better hehhee, now its everywhere...
I wanted to read what was written so that i can relate the pic with the topic of the book but aah the writings are just too small :(...
and what is that repeated something in the design? the one that looks like the letter N. it is in both sides and in the middle?!
very nice invitation thinggie :) to be real one day inshalllah..

Those kind of students are worthless, and this is how or why our Uni's bring out such useless people to build this GREAT nation !. 7amdilah washukur, some talented ones without any certificate would do better then those who actually graduated from some sort of institute!
alllah kareeem,.
tee : it would be my pleasure. ;)

Naj : N? maybe you mean the logo i used there , which is basically just a random logo i added to represent the publishing company.
The writing under the title is bascially 'everything you need to know about typography tricks' , maybe now you can relate the design to it. :)
Thank you for your compliments and yeah there should be some talent inspection going on b4 they accept people into graphic designing. oh well.
I liked the two designs, especially the card.
For the book cover, was that a must to use your logo?!! Because I dont see a logo taking such place in a book cover, even thought you did a great job applying it as a face.
For these people, why they joined this major?!! I cant believe it!
nightface , yeah..it was a must for the book cover. that was the whole point of the design , to use the typographical logo on a book cover in a non obvious way... even though mine is pretty obvious.. lol.
Yeh, that what I was saying. Comparing the lines of the drawing to the logo.
I loved the book cover... that thing, what ever it is, is so cute lol.. Keep it up Nabs :)
Nabhan u remind me with my college days ..those students who dont know what is a test tube and now they are chemists and have jobs ..and im still studying my master without any job:( .........
and the best year 4 me was when i studied master cos i was alone ...
good luck 2 u and i loved the book cover
I'll quote a couple movie lines ...
1) "Just because I'm well hung, doesn't mean I should be in the porn industry!"
2) "Your $150 grand worth ivy league education could easily be gained through a $1.50 state library pass!"
Point is, you have the skills to out-class the others who're just in it for the degree. But, your cockyness might ruin your outlook of things ... be yourself and let others be; thats what I do. I can relate to your issue because I have practically aced 95% of my classes since high school, all the way through college. And I'm talking about cutting class, partying all through the week, programming assignments for most of my friends and for others in senior classes while I was a sophomore and junior. Some things just come easy to some ... learning to utilize it is what'll make you different! =)
lol violet , I was going to do that without you asking for it. I am just busy these days , but i'll update my list soon.
