Imogen Heap has been around for a long time now , but She's still not well known to the music industry. People might recognize her voice however as being part of the Guy Sigsworth ( Britney spears - Everytime , Madonna - What it feels like for a girl ) Project that went under the name 'Frou Frou'. Being the lead singer of frou frou further increased her popularity especially after contributing with one of their songs for the soundtrack of 'Garden State'. Given that the album 'Details' didn't really do well in terms of sales , but it was a critically acclaimed hit and a huge plus for her fans whom have followed her work ever since her 1998 debut "I-Megaphone".
She is back now with an album that can't be described other than a work of genius. Her breath taking vocals have never sounded better and the music production has never been so fresh. This is electronic pop that other artists should learn from , especially since it was all done by Imogen herself. Everything from the album's artwork to the music production and singing and even the record label is her own.
The first single "Hide and seek" has already broken some records by being the first song by an independant artist who has zero radio promotion to debut on the billboards Digital chart. The album 'Speak for yourself' is getting some amazing reviews by the critics and will finally be available in the U.K on the 18th of July.
This album is basically a must for all MUSIC fans , let alone pop or electronic fans , and not having it will be a crime towards your music collection.

Given that..If you really like the album you should still buy the real thing to support Imogen Heap seeing that this whole thing is a very personal effort on her behalf. I am deeply impressed... and to think she's done all the sound effects and the techno herself!!!! She's great!!!! I listened to Headlock many times already and am on my way to downloading the rest... techno/pop is a new style to me... but the combination's fab... thanx nabs :D... looks like she'll be among the songs I listen to now...

W.. I'm glad u think it's fantastic. Regarding track 12 , it might be that you already downloaded 20 mb in one hour and that's why u couldnt download it. Rapidshare allows you to only download 20 mb per hour and so u'll have to wait an hour b4 downloading another 20 mb.
you dont need an account to upload files to rapidshare , just go to http://rapidshare.de/ and upload the file you want. once the upload is done , a link to the file will appear at the bottom of the page. :)

umm... as for {hide and seek}... it needs a little more work to it!! ... but for the rest she's good... deserves every support indeed... hehe ..I see u've a lingering passion for music nabs, very caring of u to support her :D lol...

Hide and seek is actually the first single off the album , It's simplicity is what attracted people and made them interested in this whole project. :)

Oh.. really?... that's actually a good sign... cuz for the beginning (hide and seek) wouldn't be that bad... but then she truly improved... are there other songs from her? Or is this her first album?

Anyways she has two other albums one under 'frou frou' which is titled 'details'..and is absolutely excellent..and another debut album under her name and titled 'I-Megaphone' which is so-so.
If you liked her new stuff then u'd probably love 'details'. :)
lol... I did read it!... but I was half-dreaming in the "frou frou" section, busy contemplating what it could mean rather than actually realizing it was another album... :s...pff.. pardon? say what?... clumsy?.. yes,I know :p
