Current PlayList ...

Nothing really brilliant came out recently so I found myself going back to some old music , well not too old , of course appart from the first album listed on the left side playlist column.

Natalie - Natalie

I downloaded this album around a week ago and It has been on my playlist ever since.Natali is a new female solo artist , I am not too sure where she comes from exactly but she has some sort of latin roots. The first single 'Going crazy' , a lovely ballad about her past relationships managed to peak at #13 on the Billboards charts which is not bad for a first single. Her voice can be described as 'smooth' and 'sweet' and when I first heard it I couldnt help but get a flash back of craig david , cause I feel the same way about this record as I felt back in 2000 when I first listend to craig's debut album. There are so many great tracks on this that could be singles starting from the remake of Nu Shooz's 1987 #3 hit 'I can't wait' , The soothing ballad 'You're the one' , the Urban influenced (amazing background vocals on this one ) 'Ooh' to the Beat driven track 'Better get It right'. Her next single is the very catchy 'Energy' which features New Hip/hop sensation 'Baby Bash'. Watch out for her cause she really is something. ( well to me at least .. lol ).

9/10

Madonna - GHV2 (Greatest Hits Volume 2 )

Everyone who knows me would tell you how much I love this woman , and so its no surprise that I keep on going back to her records. In my lifetime I think I only met a handful of omanis whom actually love her music and don't cuss her out, unlike the rest who jump at any occasion to diss her ( them idiots! leave my madonna alone for gods sake! lol ).

e7em! anyways..back to this record.I bought this when I was in Malaysia back in 2001 , and the only reason I did that was cause I fell in love with the album's Artwork ( A montage of madonna's pictures since the start of her career )when I saw it on the net as soon as it was released , and In my opinion this is the best album artwork of any album I have seen so far. Had it not been for that I wouldnt really have bothered with this one cause I already had all of the songs on it and In much better Un-edited versions , unlike this record which practically ruined the songs 'Human nature' and 'Ray of light' cause of the extreme editing done on them.

Anyways..nonetheless, I still enjoyed the Album over all and It does feature some of madonna's greatest hits of the 90's and early 21st century. One thing that pissed me off big time though is that they left out madonna's 1992 #1 Hit 'This used to be my playgrond'! That song is my all time fave maddona track and it was just a dissapointment to see that it didnt make it on her official second greatest hits release. Same thing happened to her 1987#1 Hit 'Who's that girl' which failed to make it onto her Immaculate collection for some ODD reason.

Anyways.. This is a nice release for those who like madonna and dont already own her 90's albums.

Deepest Blue - Late September

This is one of my fave releases of 2004.The album is really well arranged ( Musically and vocally ) and has a veriety of songs and sounds , starting from the heavy dance smash hit first single 'Deepest blue' which managed a #2 peak in the U.k..to the Guitar driven 3rd single 'Shooting star' ( my personal fave track on the album ).You can sense a bit of 'coldplay' , 'The verve' and probably even 'Oasis' on this album , but the only thing that sets Deepest blue aside from those acts is that they mixed electronica with Alternative.. Which is probably why I fell in love with this release.

--------------

IIO - Poetica

They released their first single 'Rapture' which was a huge worldwide dance hit back in 2001 , and a few singles after it 'In the end' and 'smooth' the following years , but only managed to release this whole record recently. I wont say its doing magic for them , but It really is a good album if you're into dance/techno songs with female lead vocals. I wont say that the album is superb but it has some really refreshing beats.

Madonna has the style.. that's no doubt. But somehow I liked her old stuff a lot better i.e. Frozen ;) I'll make sure to check out her new best collection as well.. might find other stuff I didn't listen to yet. Thanks for the update man.
